Spanish wind turbine manufacturer, Gamesa, has reached an agreement with Kiroba Elektrik Uretim to supply the Madranbaba wind farm in Turkey with 10 G9X-2.0 MW wind turbines, totalling 20MW of power. The contract also includes the transport, installation, assembly, operating and upkeep of the turbines over a period of 16 years. These turbines will avoid CO2 emissions of around 30,000 tonnes per year. The Madranbaba wind farm will start operations at some point between the end of 2011 and start of 2012, and will produce around 70GWh and supply energy to 35,000 households.
